A selection of vintage Italian genie bottles in the beautiful and sought-after "Wave" pattern, available for individual sale. Descriptions of each below.

Produced in mid-century Empoli, a suburb of Florence in Tuscany, Italy, where many glass-producing factories were situated, this style of decanter bottle was hugely popular as a decorative room accent, and was exported across the world. They are now sought out by international collectors and look beautiful arranged together or alone. Each tall, tapering conical bottle features a moulded repeating relief pattern of stylised waves that grow larger toward the base. The pattern continues gracefully to the tip of the flame-shaped stoppers. The bases have no markings.

This style of bottle was produced in two heights - standard (39cm/15.375" tall without stopper) and midi (33cm/13" tall without stopper) and a myriad of rainbow colours. There were several slight variations in stopper moulds, so check height of bottles carefully if you're looking for an exact match to your existing collection. Select from the dropdown menu to order. A lovely amberina example, standard height, with colour ranging from deep red at the base, through orange, then red again halfway up the stopper with a bright yellow stopper tip. Stamped MADE IN ITALY to base. Plastic stopper insulation is intact and holds firmly. Stopper has a small flat matt area to side of tip, possibly from manufacture, or possibly someone has smoothed over an old chip - please see detailed photographs from all angles. The length of the stopper is not affected. Otherwise no condition issues. Height including stopper 56cm/22".

Glowing amber bottle, standard height, excellent condition, no markings to base, a little residue inside. This bottle has the longer length stopper shaft with no plastic insulation. Height including stopper 56cm/22".

SOLD OUT Green midi height wave genie £95
This is the slightly smaller sized wave bottle, also stamped MADE IN ITALY to base. It has a standard sized stopper with no plastic insulation - you may like to use cling wrap to secure firmly in place. No condition issues, slight dark residue inside. Height including stopper 50cm/19.75".

IN STOCK Bright turquoise blue wave genie £125
Stunning vibrant turquoise shade, standard height, stamped MADE IN ITALY to base. Height including stopper 56cm/22". No plastic insulation to shorter length stopper shaft. You may like to wrap with cling wrap to secure firmly in place. Small burst bubble just inside rim and a small white inclusion in the glass an inch down inside rim, mentioned for accuracy. Stopper length 19cm/7.5".
