Super-rare Midwinter Tonga Coffee Set for Six, includes Coffee Pot, Creamer, Sugar Bowl and Six Cups and Saucers.

The 1955 design excellence of Jessie Tait, in one of her iconic monochrome exotic tribal patterns for Midwinter Pottery. Transfer printed black intertwined lines on glossy white, contrast dramatically against semi matt black glazed holloware. Midwinter's graceful Fashion Shape sets off the design beautifully with its curvy handles, and rounded square saucers

Rarely found in such pristine condition, this set comprises 15 pieces:

Black standard-size 1.5pt coffee pot with white interior and white lid with black line design
Black milk/cream jug with white base
Black sugar bowl with white base
Six black coffee cups with white interiors
Six white coffee saucers decorated with black line design

All in excellent vintage condition with no signs of use. A couple of saucers have some fine clean age-related crazing, visible on close examination, but which can't be seen in normal use. Each piece bears a Midwinter backstamp.
