Swinnertons Springtime Poodle Pattern china tea set pieces, featuring an impossibly romantic 1950’s ’story on a plate’ of lost poodles and new-found love. Mid-century kitsch monochrome pottery at its absolute best.
Pieces comprise black teacups with white interior, patterned saucer, and patterned tea plate, each available to purchase individually.
The plates and saucers each sport a little 6-part tale of black and white silhouetted figures meeting by chance when a poodle is lost in the park. The background is of trees and buildings in grey dotted line outline detail, contrasting with the bold figures and their cute little happy ending as they sit together under a striped cafe umbrella in the centre.

Cups - standard plain black teacups with white interior and rounded handle shape, 2.75"/7cm tall, 3.25"/8.25cm diameter at rim.
Saucers - 5.75"/14.6cm diameter.
Tea Plates - 6.75"/17cm diameter.
All pieces in good used vintage condition - no chips, cracks, repairs or fading. All plates & saucers have a Swinnertons Springtime backstamp. This range mixes and matches beautifully with Alfred Meakin and Ridgway Parisienne poodle patterned china.
