Elegant Mid-Century Red Genie Bottle Style Murano Decanter in the manner of Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte circa 1960.
Vibrant scarlet glass encased in clear and yellow uranium glass using the Sommerso technique with very long extended cased flame stopper and heavy base.
The decanter stands 19.5" tall (49.5cm) including its stopper.
The base is flat polished and unsigned.
In excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks, restoration or water damage. The glass has clearly been handled over the years and there is some shelf wear to the base commensurate with age. The uranium glass fluoresces brightly under UV light.
A wonderful find for a Seguso or vintage Murano enthusiast, or unique complement to a mid-century genie bottle collection. I purchased this decanter alongside two other Flavio Poli for Seguso decanters, see photos.
