Midwinter Nature Study Coffee Set for Six, includes Coffee Pot, Creamer, Sugar Bowl and Six Cups and Saucers.
The 1955 brilliance of a 24-year old Terence Conran, in one of his first iconic designs for Midwinter Pottery. Black on glossy white skeletal leaf sketches contrast dramatically against semi matt black glazed holloware. Midwinter's graceful Fashion Shape sets off the design beautifully with its curvy handles, rounded square saucers
Rarely found in such pristine condition, this set comprises 15 pieces manufactured in 1959:
Black 1.5pt coffee pot with white interior and white lid with leaf design
Black milk/cream jug with white base
Black sugar bowl with white base
Six black coffee cups with white interiors
Six white coffee saucers decorated with skeleton leaf design and dragonfly backstamp
All in perfect condition with no signs of use. Two saucers have some fine clean crazing visible on close examination. Each piece bears a Midwinter backstamp.
My items are packed and shipped within 1 business day. I take great care with my packaging, which has been described by customers as 'impregnable' and 'apocalypse proof'!
