Karolinka Glass Candlesticks designed by Eryka Trzewik-Drost for Zabkowice Glassworks in Poland, in a variety of colours.
Much-loved and highly collectable glass candle holders in the shape of a lady wearing Polish national dress in a hands-on-hips stance. These were designed in the 1960's by Polish design icon Eryka Trzewik Drost, and manufactured by Zabkowice glassworks in many colours.
Each is 20.5cm/8.25" tall, with a base diameter of 10cm/4".
The aperture at top to hold a candle/taper is approx 2cm/0.8" across.
Each lady weighs approx 900g/2lb.
I collect these beautiful ladies, and occasionally have duplicates to sell. I have the following colours currently available:
