Female mannequin heads - fabulously elegant mid-century swan-necked true vintage freestanding hat mannequins - one remaining.
The first is a heavy, hollow, original millinery/wig model made of vulcanised rubber, with a stylised face and gold coating. She has really been through the wars in her time, bless her, and has clearly fallen on her face drunkenly on more than one occasion, as her gold paint is chipped all down the front centre of her face. Her expression remains serene and beautiful however, despite having a few pin holes to the back of her head and neck, where people have tried to fasten jewellery in the past.
Her overall condition is very worn, see photographs, but she has a lovely patina of age, and would look splendid modelling hats, wigs or jewellery right away. Great for retail or home, restoration or use as is.
She stands 23” tall and 11” wide at her beautifully arched open base, and weighs approx 2.5kg.

CREAM MANNEQUIN HEAD NOW RESERVED
The second is a fibreglass original millinery/wig model, finished in creamy fleshtone, with a more realistic face, tastefully made up in a retro style, and open hazel eyes. In better shape than her gold sister, she has also seen a fair bit of rough handling in her past and has many scratches and chips - see photographs, but would be easy to touch up and clean up if desired.
Perfect for display, storage or sale of hats, wigs, turbans, necklaces, head and neck scarves for shops, vintage fairs or home.
She stands 21” tall, and 10” wide at her flat closed base, and weighs approximately 1.5kg.
