Pair of Stunning Bitossi Rimini Blu Cylindrical Vases in Vibrant Shades of Turquoise, Cobalt and Green
Designed by Aldo Londi and manufactured in Italy in the 1960’s/1970’s
Hand-thrown earthenware pottery. Price is for the pair.
Taller is 22.5cm/8.875” in height, 10cm/4” diameter
Hand marked to base in black - 43130/922 ITALY
Shorter is 17.5cm/6.875” in height, 9cm/3.5” diameter
Hand marked to base in black - 43139/926 ITALY
Bright turquoise glaze to interior and exterior. Exterior with applied alternating horizontal stripes of dark cobalt and green. Impressed horizontal rows of geometric patterns surround the exterior sides.
Good vintage condition. The taller vase has a 1mm wide glaze chip to the dark top rim, revealing the blue glaze underneath, and a 2mm glaze chip to the edge of the base. The smaller vase is slightly rough around the base, as is common with the texture of these vases. Please see detailed photographs.
These vases have lived together since they were new, and I would prefer not to separate them, so they come as a pair!
My items are packed and shipped within 1 business day. I take great care with my packaging, which has been described by customers as 'impregnable' and 'apocalypse proof'!
