Matching pair of British Art Deco style ceramic pitcher vases with stunning black glossy finish inside and out and "firework" style dripped multi-coloured decoration in bright primaries.

Vases are 8.25" tall and 6.75" across at widest point including handle. I have pictured them next to a 12" LP to show scale. Price is for the pair.

Marked "D" and "ENGLAND" to bases, no other maker's mark. The glazing design definitely has a 1950s feel to it, so it's possible this was a '1950s does 1930s' production using an old mould.

In very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is a small glaze rub to the tip of the handle to one vase, and an area to the base of the other vase where the white speckles to the coloured drips have been rubbed - see photos, but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the pieces.

A wonderful gift for Art Deco or 50s collector, the perfect addition to any 20th century design-conscious home. It's unusual to find a perfectly matched pair like this in such good condition, in such a fantastic colourway.
