Rare Vintage 1960 Midwinter Pottery Bella Vista Pattern Colourful Handpainted Floral Dinner/Cake Plate Designed By Jessie Tait, Red Yellow
Midwinter Stylecraft 9.5" Dinner, Cake or Serving Plate in the beautifully colourful handpainted Bella Vista pattern, originally designed by Eve Midwinter then adapted by Jessie Tait and produced in 1960.
The plate is the classic Midwinter Stylecraft Shape 'TV Screen' rounded square, featuring a coloured floral spray with scalloped border, in vibrant shades of deep red, yellow, blue, green & lilac. Midwinter Bella Vista backstamp.
In excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks or repairs, however there is some very slight crazing and a couple of tiny raised manufacturing flaws under the glaze, none of which affects display. Colours still bright & true, no signs of use or cutlery marks.
The plate measures 9.5" (24cm) across at widest point.
British made vintage item from Staffordshire.
