Complete 15-piece Midwinter Cannes coffee set, designed by eminent architect, designer and artist Sir Hugh Casson.

First appearing in 1954 on Midwinter's earlier Stylecraft shape, the popular pattern of French Riviera scenes was adapted and updated for the elegant new Fashion Shape in the late 50s, and continued to be manufactured into the 70s. It still looks fresh and beautiful today.

Set comprises standard coffee pot, six turquoise coffee cups with patterned saucers, turquoise open sugar bowl and cream jug. Coffee pot features the same cafe scene to front and reverse, with a turquoise lid and pictorial backstamp.

All pieces bear a Midwinter backstamp. Excellent condition throughout with no cracks, chips or restoration. Coffee pot appears unused. One saucer has some fine crazing, and there are a couple of crazing lines to the coffee pot base, not seen on display.
