Teacup and saucer duos, in excellent condition, available for individual sale. Each was transfer printed by a semi-automated rubber stamping process with a black outline design, and then handpainted blue and yellow accents added. The Carousel pattern was launched in 1971*
Each teacup and saucer duo is £9GBP, there are 3 duos available
Each teacup measures 8cm diameter and 7.25cm tall. Each saucer is 14.25cm in diameter. Please note that these are mass-produced and hand-finished vintage items, and though there are no cracks or chips, there may be slight crazing or underglaze flaws.
Kathie Winkle was a prolific ceramics designer who worked for Broadhurst from 1950 until she retired in 1992. Her designs are synonymous with 1960s and 70s British home life, are much loved throughout the world and are currently enjoying a renaissance in popularity.
Vintage items made in Staffordshire, England. Each saucer bears the printed Broadhurst backstamp and the teacups have an impressed stamp 'Broadhurst England'.
