Large square stylised sleepy bird design with red and brown spiralled leaves. This is the top tile from the triptych "Tree Of Life".
Fully Söholm stamped to reverse. Wire attached for hanging.
In excellent vintage condition. A little glaze rubbing to outer edges of plaque, which does not detract from its overall rustic look.
Søholm Keramik was a ceramics manufacturer in Rønne on the island of Bornholm, Denmark, in operation from 1835 to 1996. Many influential Danish 20th Century ceramics designers worked there. Noomi Backhausen was a designer for Søholm from 1966 to 1990 and set up her own pottery in Rønne in 1996.
